The Yoshitake TSF-10S is an ultra steam trap (TRAP STAR series) of the float type, designed to discharge steam condensate effectively without retention, enabling an energy-saving steam system without steam loss. It features an all-stainless steel construction for exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. An incorporated thermostatic air vent discharges air from inside the piping, significantly shortening the warming-up time. The flow direction can be easily adjusted by turning the cock, allowing for various installation postures (horizontal or vertical) without disassembling the cover.

The discharge capacity shown in the chart below is the maximum value. In designing a system, select a steam trap with a sufficient safety factor (two times the regular level).

Installation and Maintenance

Precaution for Installation

• Before connecting the product to piping, remove foreign substances and scale.
• Adjust the direction of the nameplate in a no-pressure condition after installation. Fix the cock with a spanner and loosen the nut. Turn the cock and adjust the direction of the nameplate to position "TOP" and "BOTTOM" signs on the upside and downside, respectively.
• Allowable tilt from the horizontal or vertical line is within ±10°.

Maintenance Tips

Conduct daily inspection during operation (check condensate discharge and outside leakage). Periodically inspect the seat surfaces, float shape, and screen for clogging. Disassembly and inspection must be performed by a professional when the internal pressure is completely discharged and the product is cooled down.
